Set
A group of repetitions performed without stopping.
Reps
The number of times you perform a movement in a set.
Volume
Total work performed, usually sets multiplied by reps multiplied by weight.
Progressive Overload
Gradually increasing the demand on your body over time.
Failure
The point where you cannot complete another rep with proper form.
Rest Time
The time you take between sets. Important for managing intensity.
Superset
Two exercises performed back to back with little to no rest.
Circuit
Three or more exercises performed in sequence before resting.
Split
How your workouts are divided across the week.
Tempo
The speed at which you perform each part of a lift.
Time Under Tension
The amount of time a muscle is working during a set.
