Cable Hammer Curls - Rope Attachment
Cable Rope Hammer Curls use a neutral grip with the palms facing each other. The biceps perform the curl while the rope allows each hand to move independently. The cable provides resistance throughout the lowering and lifting phases.
Training context
Muscles worked by Cable Hammer Curls
The biceps are listed as the primary muscles, although a neutral grip also places meaningful demand on the brachialis and forearms. The upper arms should remain close to the torso while the elbows bend.
The rope ends may separate slightly near the top, but that movement should not turn into a large outward pull through the shoulders.
Technique overview
Keep the palms facing inward
Stand facing the low pulley and hold the rope with your palms facing each other. Curl the handles upward without moving the elbows away from your sides. Pause briefly, then lower under control until the arms extend. Avoid leaning backward or pulling the rope toward the face.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
