Close-Grip EZ Bar Curl
The Close-Grip EZ-Bar Curl uses the inner bends of an EZ-bar to train the biceps. The angled grip may feel more comfortable at the wrists than a narrow grip on a straight bar. The forearms assist by supporting and controlling the bar.
Training context
What is the Close-Grip EZ-Bar Curl?
The hands remain relatively close together while the elbows bend and the upper arms stay beside the torso. The bar shape places the palms at a slightly angled position rather than fully forward.
Grip width should follow the intended inner handles without forcing the wrists inward. If the grip feels cramped, use a wider section of the bar.
Technique overview
Keep the upper arms still
Stand tall with the bar held at the inner angled grips. Curl toward the shoulders without moving the elbows forward or leaning the torso backward. Pause briefly near the top, then lower until the arms reach a comfortable extension. Avoid swinging the bar through the lower half of the repetition.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
