Front Squats With Two Kettlebells
The Double Kettlebell Front Squat is performed with one kettlebell supported at each shoulder. The quadriceps provide the main effort while the glutes and calves assist. Holding two separate weights requires the upper body to keep both sides of the rack position stable.
Training context
How the Double Kettlebell Front Squat Differs
Unlike a single goblet squat, the two kettlebells sit separately at the shoulders. This increases the demand on the trunk, grip, and upper-body rack position.
The weights should rest against the forearms and upper body rather than being held away from the chest. Clean both bells safely before beginning the squat set.
Technique overview
Keep both kettlebells secure in the rack
Stand with both kettlebells settled at the shoulders and feet in a comfortable stance. Squat between the legs while keeping the full feet planted and knees aligned with the toes. Maintain an upright torso, then push through the floor to stand. Stop if either kettlebell begins slipping from the rack.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
