Exercise guide
Incline Inner Biceps Curl
The Incline Inner Biceps Curl is performed with the back supported and the arms curling outward rather than directly forward. The top position resembles a double-biceps pose, with the dumbbells near the outer shoulders and the palms facing away from the body.
Training context
Using the Incline Inner Biceps Curl
This variation provides a different arm path from a standard incline curl while still limiting torso momentum. It may be used as direct biceps work when the outward position feels natural and comfortable.
The shoulders should not rotate aggressively to manufacture the top position. Stop the curl where the elbows and wrists remain aligned.
Technique overview
Curl outward without lifting the shoulders
Lie against the incline bench with the arms hanging and palms turned outward. Bend the elbows and guide the dumbbells toward the sides of the shoulders. Pause briefly without shrugging or moving the upper arms forward, then lower along the same path. Keep both sides moving evenly.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
