Exercise guide
Leverage Deadlift
The Leverage Deadlift is a machine-based lift performed from handles positioned beside the body. The quadriceps, glutes, and hamstrings extend the knees and hips while the trunk maintains the lifting position.
Training context
Setup Cues for the Leverage Deadlift
The source instructions are incomplete and omit the actual lifting phase. Machine designs also differ, so the athlete should follow the manufacturer's setup and safety instructions for the specific unit.
The feet should be positioned so the machine arms clear the body and both handles can move evenly. Begin with a light load while learning the machine's path.
Technique overview
Stand through the hips and knees together
Grip the lower handles and set the hips at a height that allows the chest and back to remain controlled. Drive through the feet as the hips and knees extend, finishing in a tall position without leaning backward. Lower the handles by bending the hips and knees until they return gently to the starting point.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
