Exercise guide

Leverage Iso Row

The Leverage Iso Row is a machine rowing exercise that may allow each arm to move independently. The lats and middle back pull the handles toward the torso while the biceps assist.

Training context

Before Adding the Leverage Iso Row

Adjust the seat so the handles align near chest height and the torso can remain supported throughout the pull. Neutral and overhand grips may change the elbow path and how the movement feels.

If the machine has independent arms, both sides may be trained together or one at a time. Avoid rotating the torso when using a single arm.

Technique overview

Row without pulling the shoulders forward

Begin with the arms extended and chest supported. Pull the handles toward the torso while moving the elbows back and retracting the shoulder blades. Pause briefly, then return until the arms extend without allowing the plates to strike the stops.

Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
