Exercise guide
One Arm Against Wall
The One Arm Against Wall stretch uses a wall or doorway to support a bent arm while the torso moves toward it. The position may create a stretch through the lat and side of the upper back.
Training context
Understanding the One-Arm Wall Stretch
Arm height and torso angle affect where the stretch is felt. The shoulder should remain comfortable and the wall contact should feel secure.
Do not force the body past the arm or allow the shoulder to twist sharply. A small lean is often sufficient.
Technique overview
Lean gradually toward the supported arm
Place one bent arm securely against a wall or doorway. Keep the shoulder relaxed and move the torso slowly toward the arm until a mild lat stretch is felt. Hold without bouncing, then move away before switching sides.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
