Reverse Cable Curl
The Reverse Cable Curl uses a low pulley and pronated grip to train elbow flexion. The biceps assist, while the brachialis, brachioradialis, and forearms receive substantial work.
Training context
How Reverse Cable Curls Differ
The cable maintains tension throughout the range and can make the bottom position feel different from a free-weight curl. Attachment shape also affects wrist comfort.
A straight bar, EZ-style bar, or separate handles may each create a different hand position. Choose the attachment that allows the wrists to remain aligned.
Technique overview
Keep the elbows still as the cable rises
Stand facing the low pulley with a shoulder-width palms-down grip. Curl the attachment by bending the elbows while keeping the upper arms close to the torso. Pause before the shoulders move forward, then extend the elbows slowly without allowing the stack to drop.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
