Sled Drag - Harness exercise guide

Exercise guide

Sled Drag - Harness

The Harness Sled Drag pulls a loaded sled through a strap attached to the torso or waist. The quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings, and calves drive the repeated steps.

Training context

Keeping Harness Sled Drags Controlled

The harness and connection point must be rated for the load and attached securely. Forward and backward drags are different variations and should be logged separately.

The lane should remain clear and long enough to slow down without turning suddenly under tension.

Technique overview

Create tension before taking the first step

Attach the harness securely and walk forward until the line becomes taut. Lean slightly in the direction of travel and move the sled with steady hip and knee extension. Maintain short controlled steps and slow gradually at the end of the route.

Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
