Standing Biceps Cable Curl
The Standing Biceps Cable Curl trains the biceps against continuous cable resistance. A straight or angled attachment can be selected based on wrist comfort.
Training context
Who May Find Cable Curls Useful?
Cable curls may suit lifters who prefer consistent resistance throughout the range or want an alternative to free-weight curls. The pulley also makes small load adjustments straightforward.
Stand far enough from the stack that the cable remains tensioned at the bottom. Avoid leaning backward to initiate the curl.
Technique overview
Curl without moving the upper arms
Stand tall with the bar held palms up and elbows near the torso. Bend the elbows to bring the attachment upward while the shoulders remain quiet. Pause briefly, then lower until the arms return to the planned starting range.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
