Standing Elevated Quad Stretch
The Standing Elevated Quad Stretch places the rear foot on a bench or step while the body remains upright. The position can stretch the quadriceps and front of the hip on the elevated side.
Training context
Why Use an Elevated Quad Stretch?
The support holds the rear knee in a bent position without requiring the hand to grip the foot. This can make balance easier for some users and harder for others.
Use a stable surface and keep the supporting foot planted. The front knee may move naturally as long as balance and comfort remain controlled.
Technique overview
Adjust the distance before deepening the stretch
Stand in front of a stable bench and place one foot behind you on its surface. Bend the supporting knee slightly and bring the pelvis into a comfortable position. Hold a mild stretch, step out carefully, and repeat on the other side.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
