Standing Towel Triceps Extension
The Standing Towel Triceps Extension uses a partner to apply resistance through a towel while the working person extends the elbows overhead. The triceps perform the movement.
Training context
Setup Cues for Towel Triceps Extensions
Both partners need to agree on the amount and direction of resistance before starting. The partner should provide smooth tension rather than sudden pulls.
Inspect the towel and maintain a secure grip at both ends. This is a partner-resisted exercise despite the `body only` equipment label.
Technique overview
Coordinate the resistance with your partner
Stand with the hands overhead holding one end of the towel while the partner holds the other. Bend the elbows to lower the hands behind the head as the partner maintains light tension. Extend the elbows smoothly and communicate immediately if the resistance becomes uneven.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
