Triceps Pushdown - V-Bar Attachment
The Triceps Pushdown with V-Bar Attachment uses an angled fixed handle on a high cable. The triceps straighten the elbows while the V-bar provides a consistent hand position throughout the repetition.
Training context
Using the V-Bar Triceps Pushdown in a Workout
The angled grip may feel more comfortable than a straight bar for some lifters while still allowing both arms to press together. The attachment should move vertically without being pulled into the body by shoulder movement.
Use the same V-bar and cable station when comparing sessions, since attachment width and angle can affect wrist position and range.
Technique overview
Keep the V-bar moving from the elbows
Take a secure grip and hold the upper arms beside the torso. Extend the elbows until the arms are straight without leaning over the attachment. Pause briefly, then allow the bar to rise under control while the elbows remain in place. Reduce the load if the shoulders or torso begin contributing to the push.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
