Box Jump (Multiple Response)
The Multiple-Response Box Jump repeats a box jump and return with little rest between efforts. The hamstrings, glutes, quadriceps, calves, and hip muscles contribute to takeoff and landing. The repeated format adds more impact and fatigue than a single box jump followed by a full reset.
Training context
Setup cues for repeated Box Jumps
Use a stable box with enough surface area for both feet. Height should allow you to land without tucking the knees excessively or losing balance.
Jumping directly back down creates more landing stress than stepping down. Stepping down or pausing between repetitions is a useful alternative when impact control is the priority.
Technique overview
Keep every landing quiet and stable
Stand a comfortable distance from the box, dip slightly, and jump onto it with both feet. Land with the knees and hips bent, then regain control before returning to the floor. Repeat only while both the box landing and floor landing remain stable. Stop when fatigue turns the movement into a rushed rebound.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
