Dynamic Chest Stretch
The Dynamic Chest Stretch repeatedly opens the arms from a position directly in front of the body. The chest moves through a lengthened position while the middle back helps draw the arms outward. It is commonly used as a brief upper-body warm-up.
Training context
Setup cues for the Dynamic Chest Stretch
The arms should open only as far as the shoulders remain comfortable. The torso stays facing forward rather than rotating to manufacture a larger range.
Although the source suggests increasing speed, control should remain the priority. Faster repetitions are useful only when the shoulders can still reverse direction smoothly.
Technique overview
Open the arms without forcing the shoulders back
Stand tall with the arms extended and hands together. Open the arms outward through a comfortable range, then bring them forward again. Begin slowly and allow a modest increase in rhythm only if the shoulders remain relaxed. Avoid bouncing into the end position.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
