Incline Push-Up Depth Jump
This advanced plyometric push-up begins with the feet elevated and the hands on the floor between two raised platforms. Despite the incline name, elevating the feet creates a decline push-up position. The athlete explosively moves the hands between the floor and platforms while the chest, shoulders, and triceps absorb each landing.
Training context
Using Push-Up Depth Jumps in Training
The drill should be reserved for athletes who can already perform strong, controlled plyometric push-ups. It places significant impact through the hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders.
Both platforms must be equal in height, nonslip, and positioned so the hands can land completely on them. A missed platform can cause a serious fall.
Technique overview
Land with both hands fully supported
Place the feet securely on the box and hands between the two platforms. Lower under control, press explosively, and move both hands onto the platforms. Bend the elbows to absorb the landing before reversing the movement. Stop immediately if either hand lands unevenly or the body loses its straight position.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
