Incline Push-Up Medium
The Medium Incline Push-Up uses a shoulder-width hand position on an elevated bar or platform. The chest provides the main pressing effort while the shoulders, triceps, and abdominals help maintain the movement and body position.

Who May Find This Incline Push-Up Useful?
This variation may suit beginners developing floor push-up strength, experienced lifters using a controlled warm-up, or anyone adjusting the exercise around their current ability. Bar height makes the resistance easy to scale.
A Smith machine bar must be locked securely before bodyweight is placed against it. A loose or rotating support should never be used.
Technique overview
Match the support height to your strength
Set the bar or platform at a stable height and place the hands about shoulder width apart. Step back until the body forms a straight line. Lower the chest toward the support, then press away without allowing the hips or head to move separately. Raise the support if the range cannot be controlled.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
