Exercise guide

Leverage High Row

The Leverage High Row pulls machine handles from an elevated position toward the torso. The middle back and lats move the upper arms and shoulder blades through the rowing path.

Training context

Keeping the Leverage High Row Controlled

Adjust the seat and thigh pad so the handles can be reached without leaving the torso unsupported or lifting from the seat. The starting position should allow the arms to extend without the plates resting fully.

The exact elbow path depends on the machine. Pull naturally through the provided handles instead of forcing them close to or far away from the body.

Technique overview

Pull the elbows down and back

Begin with the arms extended toward the elevated handles. Pull the elbows toward the sides of the torso while retracting the shoulder blades. Pause briefly, then guide the handles upward until the back is stretched without losing the seated position.

Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
