Exercise guide
Low Cable Crossover
The Low Cable Crossover is a standing chest fly performed with the pulleys near the floor. The chest draws the arms upward and inward, while the shoulders guide and stabilize the movement.
Training context
Muscles Worked by the Low Cable Crossover
The low pulley angle creates an upward arm path that may emphasize the upper portion of the chest, although the entire chest contributes. The arms should remain slightly bent rather than repeatedly flexing and extending.
Use a staggered stance and enough forward distance to keep cable tension at the bottom without allowing the stacks to pull the body backward.
Technique overview
Sweep the handles upward and together
Begin with the hands below the waist and elbows softly bent. Draw the handles upward and inward along a wide arc until they meet near chest height. Keep the torso steady and return through the same path without allowing the shoulders to roll forward.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
