Exercise guide

One-Arm Kettlebell Floor Press

The One-Arm Kettlebell Floor Press trains the chest and triceps while the floor limits how far the upper arm can travel behind the torso. The offset bell also challenges wrist and trunk stability.

Training context

Understanding the Kettlebell Floor Press

The upper arm contacts the floor at the bottom, creating a shorter range than a bench press. This can make the movement easier to control while still providing unilateral pressing work.

The kettlebell should remain balanced over the forearm. Use a load that does not pull the wrist backward or rotate the torso.

Technique overview

Keep the forearm beneath the kettlebell

Lie with the knees bent and the kettlebell secured in one hand. Lower until the upper arm touches the floor gently, then press toward the ceiling while keeping the wrist stacked. Resist rolling toward the loaded side and lower through the same path before switching arms.

Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
