Exercise guide
Seated Band Hamstring Curl
The Seated Band Hamstring Curl bends the knees against resistance from a low anchor. Band tension increases as the feet move toward the bench, placing progressively more demand on the hamstrings.
Training context
Benefits of Seated Band Hamstring Curls
The exercise provides hamstring isolation with minimal equipment and can be performed one or two legs at a time. Anchor distance and band strength determine how resistance changes through the range.
The band must be attached to a secure, fixed point and checked for wear. Position the bench so the band cannot pull it forward.
Technique overview
Keep the thighs supported as the knees bend
Sit securely with the band attached behind the ankles and the legs extended. Curl the feet toward the bench without lifting the thighs or swinging the torso. Pause briefly, then straighten the knees slowly while maintaining tension on the band.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
