Seated Hamstring and Calf Stretch
The Seated Hamstring and Calf Stretch combines a mild forward hinge with a strap pulling the toes toward the body. The straight-leg position targets the hamstrings while ankle dorsiflexion adds calf tension.
Training context
Setup Cues for the Combined Stretch
The strap should be looped around the forefoot and held evenly. Pulling only on the toes can be uncomfortable and provides less control.
The torso does not need to reach far forward. Adjust the hip hinge and strap tension separately so neither area is forced.
Technique overview
Add strap tension after setting the torso
Sit with both legs extended and loop the strap around one forefoot. Hinge forward slightly from the hips, then gently draw the toes toward you. Hold a mild stretch, release the strap gradually, and repeat on the other side.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
