Exercise guide

Standing Pelvic Tilt

The Standing Pelvic Tilt explores a small range of pelvic movement while the feet remain planted. The lower back and glutes change position as the pelvis tips forward and backward.

Training context

Understanding the Standing Pelvic Tilt

This is a small mobility drill rather than a deep stretch. The knees remain softly bent so the pelvis can move without the entire body becoming rigid.

The motion should not require squeezing aggressively or pushing the hips far forward. Use calm breathing and a comfortable range.

Technique overview

Move the pelvis without shifting the whole body

Stand with the feet near hip width and knees relaxed. Tip the pelvis gently forward and backward while the shoulders remain over the feet. Pause briefly in a comfortable position, then return to neutral without forcing the lower back.

Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
