Bosu Ball Cable Crunch With Side Bends
The Bosu Ball Cable Crunch With Side Bends combines a supported cable crunch with a side-bending finisher. The rounded surface places the back over the Bosu while two low cables provide resistance. The movement is complex because the feet, ball, cable handles, and torso must remain coordinated.
Training context
Muscles worked by the Bosu Cable Crunch
The abdominals flex the torso during the crunch and control the return over the ball. The side-bending portion adds more emphasis to the sides of the trunk.
This is a more advanced setup than a standard floor or kneeling cable crunch. The Bosu should remain stable and the cables should have equal resistance before the set begins.
Technique overview
Keep the cables even on both sides
Center the Bosu between the cable arms and confirm that both handles use the same setting. Establish a wide, stable foot position and crunch without bending the elbows or allowing one cable to pull harder. Return slowly over the ball. Perform side bends only while you can keep the torso and Bosu controlled, rather than automatically continuing to failure.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
