Exercise guide
Landmine Rotation
The Landmine Rotation guides the end of a barbell from one side of the body to the other. The abdominals manage the rotational force while the shoulders hold and guide the bar. The feet and hips may pivot to keep the movement coordinated.
Training context
Why Landmine Rotations Can Be Useful
The exercise trains the body to control a loaded rotational arc rather than resisting all movement. It can be performed through a small or large path depending on the athlete's goal and control.
This record substantially overlaps with Landmine 180s. A database review may be appropriate to determine whether both variations need separate entries.
Technique overview
Let the feet pivot with the bar
Hold the bar with both hands and soften the knees. Move the bar toward one side while allowing the feet and hips to pivot naturally. Reverse through the center and continue toward the opposite side. Keep the plates controlled at each change of direction.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
