Exercise guide
Reverse Crunch
The Reverse Crunch trains the abdominals by rolling the pelvis toward the rib cage. The legs provide leverage, but the goal is to lift the hips through controlled trunk flexion rather than momentum.
Training context
Muscles Worked by the Reverse Crunch
The abdominals control the pelvic curl and return. The hip flexors help maintain the leg position, even though they are not listed in the source metadata.
Bringing the knees toward the chest is not enough by itself. The defining action is the small lift and backward roll of the pelvis.
Technique overview
Curl the hips upward without swinging
Lie on the back with the hips and knees bent and the thighs near vertical. Draw the knees inward as the pelvis curls and the hips lift slightly from the floor. Pause briefly, then lower the pelvis slowly while keeping the legs controlled. Reset before momentum develops.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
