Exercise guide

Rickshaw Carry

The Rickshaw Carry is a loaded strongman carry performed from inside a frame. Grip strength is heavily challenged while the legs, hips, traps, lower back, and abdominals support the pickup and walk.

Training context

Setup Cues for the Rickshaw Carry

The frame should be loaded evenly and positioned on a level surface. Plan the entire walking lane and unloading point before lifting.

Handle height and frame width affect the pickup position. Record the equipment and distance because different rickshaw frames may not be directly comparable.

Technique overview

Lift first, then establish the walking pace

Stand centered between the handles and brace before driving through the feet to lift the frame. Once balanced, take short, deliberate steps while keeping the frame from swinging. Slow down before the endpoint and lower the frame evenly rather than dropping it while moving.

Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
