Seated Dumbbell Palms-Up Wrist Curl
The Seated Palms-Up Dumbbell Wrist Curl trains the wrist flexors along the underside of the forearms. Each dumbbell moves independently while the forearms remain supported on the thighs.
Training context
How Dumbbell Wrist Curls Differ
Dumbbells allow each wrist to follow its own path and may reveal differences in range or control between sides. They also require each hand to stabilize its own weight.
The exercise should remain a wrist movement. Rolling the dumbbells deeply into the fingertips is an optional variation and should not be added unless grip remains secure.
Technique overview
Curl through the wrists without lifting the forearms
Rest the forearms on the thighs with the palms facing up and wrists beyond the knees. Raise the palms by flexing the wrists, pause briefly, and lower through a comfortable range. Keep the forearms pressed gently into the thighs.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
