Exercise guide

Seated Flat Bench Leg Pull-In

The Seated Flat Bench Leg Pull-In combines a backward-leaning torso position with repeated knee tucks. The abdominals stabilize and flex the trunk while the hip flexors draw the thighs inward.

Training context

Using Bench Leg Pull-Ins in a Workout

The movement may fit within bodyweight abdominal training or as an accessory after larger exercises. The bench must provide enough space for the hands and hips to remain secure.

Extending the legs lower increases the demand on the trunk. Use a shorter range when the lower back or hip flexors begin to dominate.

Technique overview

Bring the torso and knees together without swinging

Sit near the bench edge, hold the sides, and lean back into a stable position. Draw the knees toward the torso while the chest moves slightly forward. Pause, then extend the legs and lean back under control without allowing the feet to drop suddenly.

Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
