Exercise guide
Suspended Fallout
The Suspended Fallout is an advanced abdominal exercise performed while leaning into suspension straps. As the arms travel overhead, the abdominals resist the torso and pelvis falling out of alignment, while the shoulders, chest, and lower back help stabilize the position.
Training context
Using the Suspended Fallout in a Workout
The exercise can be adjusted by changing the strap height, foot position, and body angle. A more horizontal starting position creates a longer lever and substantially increases the demand.
Use a range that allows the ribs, pelvis, and legs to remain connected. Stop the set when the hips sag, the lower back arches excessively, or the shoulders can no longer control the overhead position.
Technique overview
Move the arms without losing the body line
Confirm that the straps are securely anchored and begin in a rigid inclined position. Keep the elbows straight as the arms travel overhead and the body leans forward as one unit. Pause before the torso loses alignment, then pull the handles back to return. Make the exercise easier by standing more upright or shortening the range.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
