Exercise guide

Suspended Reverse Crunch

The Suspended Reverse Crunch begins in a plank with the feet supported in suspension straps. The abdominals flex the hips and pelvis as the knees travel toward the torso, then control the return to a straight plank.

Training context

Who May Find the Suspended Reverse Crunch Useful

This exercise suits lifters who can already maintain a strong plank and want a moving abdominal variation. Strap length and foot position should allow the legs to travel without the feet dragging or the straps twisting.

Use a smaller knee tuck until the hips can return to plank without sagging. Count only repetitions that begin and end from the same controlled body position.

Technique overview

Return to plank without letting the hips drop

Secure both feet in the handles and establish a straight plank with the hands beneath the shoulders. Draw the knees toward the torso while allowing the pelvis to curl slightly. Pause before the shoulders or hands shift, then extend the legs until the original plank is restored. Stop when the lower back begins to sag during the return.

Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
