Exercise guide
Double Kettlebell Jerk
The Double Kettlebell Jerk moves two kettlebells from the rack position to overhead using a dip and powerful leg drive. The shoulders and triceps stabilize the bells while the quadriceps and calves help create upward momentum. The source variation uses a split receiving stance.
Training context
Keeping the Double Kettlebell Jerk controlled
The bells should begin settled against the forearms and torso before the dip. The legs create the initial drive, and the lifter then moves beneath the bells to receive them with straight arms.
A push press and a jerk are not identical. In the jerk, the knees bend again or the feet reposition as the bells are received overhead.
Technique overview
Dip vertically before driving
Clean both bells to the rack and stand balanced. Dip by bending the knees without pushing the hips far backward, then drive forcefully through the floor. Move into the receiving stance as the arms lock overhead. Stabilize before bringing the feet together, then lower both bells back to the rack under control.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
