Exercise guide
Double Kettlebell Push Press
The Double Kettlebell Push Press begins with two kettlebells in the rack position. A short knee dip and leg drive help accelerate the bells before the shoulders and triceps finish the press. The quadriceps and calves contribute to the upward drive.
Training context
Muscles worked by the Double Kettlebell Push Press
The shoulders and triceps stabilize and finish the overhead position while the legs initiate the movement. Compared with a strict press, the push press allows heavier bells or more repetitions by using lower-body momentum.
Unlike a jerk, the knees do not bend again to receive the bells. The legs drive once, and the body remains standing as the arms finish overhead.
Technique overview
Use one short dip and drive
Settle both kettlebells in the rack and keep the torso upright. Dip a few inches through the knees, reverse quickly, and use the leg drive to start the bells upward. Finish by extending the arms overhead without leaning back. Lower the bells to the rack and fully reset before repeating.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
