Kettlebell Arnold Press
The Kettlebell Arnold Press begins with the bell in a shoulder rack and the palm facing inward. As the kettlebell moves overhead, the hand rotates until the palm faces forward. The shoulders provide the main effort while the triceps complete the press.
Training context
How the Kettlebell Arnold Press Differs
The changing hand position adds rotation to a standard kettlebell press. The kettlebell's offset center of mass also requires the wrist and shoulder to stabilize the bell throughout the movement.
The rotation should follow the natural movement of the shoulder. It should not be forced if a simpler neutral-grip press feels more comfortable.
Technique overview
Rotate as the bell passes the face
Clean the kettlebell into a secure rack with the wrist straight. Press upward while gradually rotating the palm forward. Reach a stable overhead position without leaning away from the bell, then reverse the rotation as it returns to the shoulder. Keep the forearm beneath the kettlebell throughout.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
