One-Arm Kettlebell Para Press
The One-Arm Kettlebell Para Press is a nonstandard shoulder-press variation performed with the elbow initially directed outward. The shoulder and triceps move the bell overhead while the trunk and lower body create a stable base.
Training context
Muscles Used in the Para Press
The shoulder produces most of the pressing motion and the triceps extend the elbow. The lats, abdominals, glutes, and grip help control the rack, overhead position, and return.
An elbow-out position may not suit every shoulder. Use a path that remains comfortable rather than forcing the arm to match a fixed angle.
Technique overview
Keep the bell stacked over a stable base
Clean the bell into the rack and set the elbow in a comfortable outward position. Press upward and slightly out until the arm reaches a balanced overhead lockout. Avoid leaning to chase range, then lower the kettlebell slowly to the shoulder.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
