One-Arm Kettlebell Split Snatch
The One-Arm Kettlebell Split Snatch moves the bell from below the body to overhead in one continuous action while the feet split into a receiving stance. The legs and hips accelerate the bell and the shoulder stabilizes the final position.
Training context
How the Split Snatch Differs
Unlike a clean and jerk, the bell does not pause at the shoulder. The athlete must coordinate the pull, hand transition, overhead lockout, and split landing as one lift.
This is an advanced variation. A basic kettlebell snatch and unloaded split-foot drill should be controlled before they are combined.
Technique overview
Lock the bell as the feet enter the split
Drive through the hips and legs to accelerate the kettlebell upward. Guide the hand through the handle as the feet separate into a stable split and the arm reaches lockout. Stabilize overhead, recover the feet carefully, and lower the bell only after standing balanced.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
