Standing Low-Pulley Deltoid Raise
The Standing Low-Pulley Deltoid Raise starts with the cable crossing in front of the body and finishes with the working arm raised to the side. The shoulders provide the main movement while the forearms maintain the grip.
Training context
Understanding the Low-Pulley Deltoid Raise
Starting across the body keeps tension on the shoulder near the bottom of the repetition. Holding the machine with the free hand can improve stability.
Use a load that allows the arm to rise without the torso leaning away. Shoulder height is a practical stopping point for most users.
Technique overview
Raise the arm without shifting the torso
Stand sideways to the low pulley and hold the handle with the far hand. Guide the arm outward and upward with a softly bent elbow, stopping near shoulder height. Lower slowly across the front of the body while maintaining cable tension.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
