Exercise guide
Standing Soleus And Achilles Stretch
The Standing Soleus And Achilles Stretch uses a staggered stance with both knees bent. Keeping the rear heel down shifts more emphasis toward the soleus and lower calf region.
Training context
Setup Cues for the Bent-Knee Calf Stretch
Use a short stance that allows the back heel to remain fully grounded. A wall or rail can provide support when balance interferes with the stretch.
The sensation should remain mild around the calf and ankle. Do not force the knee forward when the heel begins to lift.
Technique overview
Bend the rear knee while the heel stays down
Stand with one foot slightly behind the other and both feet pointing comfortably forward. Bend both knees while keeping the rear heel planted. Hold a gentle lower-calf stretch, return slowly, and switch sides.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
