Two-Arm Kettlebell Military Press
The Two-Arm Kettlebell Military Press moves two kettlebells from the shoulder rack to an overhead position without intentional leg drive. The shoulders provide the main pressing effort, while the triceps extend the elbows and help stabilize the lockout.
Training context
Two-Arm Kettlebell Military Press Explained
Each kettlebell moves independently, requiring both arms to control their path while the torso stays braced. The bells may travel slightly outward before finishing over the shoulders, depending on the rack position and individual structure.
Use matching kettlebells and establish a comfortable rack before pressing. Stop if the torso leans back, the ribs flare sharply, or one bell cannot reach a stable overhead position.
Technique overview
Press from a stable rack without leg drive
Clean both kettlebells into a secure rack and brace the torso and glutes. Press the bells upward while keeping the wrists stacked and the forearms controlled. Move the head through once the bells clear it and finish with the weights balanced overhead. Lower both kettlebells slowly back to the rack before the next repetition.
Treat this as an overview and use a range, pace, and setup you can control.
